●THE STORY
It started with business school and a pile of shoes.
If you set things up right, people walk themselves into the result. It's sneaky. It works. And I desperately needed my four kids out the door and shoes on.
So I threw the shoes out the door. The shoe battle happened, but outside. One battle, not two. Business school was right. Structure beats willpower, anytime.
And figuring out how to share the load at home, so I could add school on top of work on top of family? It is its own crazy lesson in teamwork straight from my studies.
●WHAT THYMELY IS FOUNDED ON
There aren't tools for family teams.
After talking to more than 25 couples, none of them wanted another calendar. They talked about each other, and how hard it is to stay on the same team.
At work you get training, tools, and a manager. At home, teaming happens on the fly (sometimes while sleep-deprived and holding a tiny human).
That's what Game Plan is built for. A planning game that gets you talking and keeps you working together, not apart.
Thymely thinks that's backwards. The home team deserves tools as good as the ones at work. That's what Thymely is building, starting with a game.
